Technical Analysis and Design

The design process of a project includes a number of analysis which supports the development of a good product.

Parallel to the construction of the product the feasibility of the discussed technical solutions has to be analyzed by systems engineering.

Some of the analysis tasks are direct part of the design process, like:

• Structural and Mechanical Analysis (which is mainly an natural part of the design team)

• Electrical Analysis and Harness Design (also part of the design team but can be supported)

• Failure Mode Effects (and Criticality) Analysis (FMEA, FMECA) and Reliability / Availability Analysis.

Others are driven by external influences of the operational environment or specific customer needs, like

• Exception Handling of the system, Operational Analysis tasks, Hazard Analysis, Human Factor Analysis tasks, etc.

• Support Equipment (for Assembly, Integration, Test or Operations), Manuals, etc.

• Maintenance -Analysis, -Planning and -Provision, etc.
